Awesome tune, I really like it, but you might have to remix it to participate in the contest. The rules of the contest include this point : "- Songs can be a maximum of 5 minutes. However, slightly longer songs may be taken into consideration and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. " ; so you better consult with contest mods if you don't want your entry discarded! (unless you already did that :P)

Chthonic-Waves responds:

AHHH! I didn't read the rules.. I might have to get on that lol. Thanks for the heads up

Very good!

I really liked this piece. It rather reminds me of music by Jeremy Soule, the guy who was responsible for Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion music. You use similar instruments and similar cadences.

Setu-Firestorm responds:

I've actually heard that before. Someone else who commented on the Hero of Time soundtrack said it sounded like the music from Oblivion. I played Morrowind ages ago, but never played Oblivion (to be honest, I'm not a big fan of Bethseda, personally).

I'll have to look up his music and note the similarities. I find that sort of stuff interesting.

Thanks for your review.

Very good!

Nicely done, I like how you arrenged this there are no audible flaws in guitar parts. The only thing I didn't liked was drumms execution, they kinda lacked dynamics for me. Otherwise, very nice tune.

Great!

Veery good composition, really proffesionally sounding! I would change some things, though, not int the music, but rather in mixing. Guitar solo starting 1:30 is a little too quiet for me and it sounds a bit flat, but that can be because of MP3 compression, as well as because of VST. What I particularly like is killswitch-style guitar, and string ensamble, they make this tune EPIC. Keep up the good work!

DavidOrr responds:

The Mp3 does lower the sound quality (particularly the highs), but that's no excuse for a flat mix. Changes are in the works, thanks for the review!

Nice composition!

but I don't like the instruments you used very muc. But I guess it's matter of one's taste ;) Overall kinda reminds me of Final Fantasy score.

Calamaistr responds:

Its a very very old track and the instrumentation is just as much part of it, wouldnt want to change it. :) Thanks for the comparison, its a nice compliment.

Lacks melody

It would do quite good as some background music in a movie or a game maybe, I can only hear some arpeggios and scales going up and down. But they sound pretty nice altogether. 7/10, 4/5.

Kirbyfemur responds:

Did you listen to the entire song? There is actually more than just "arpeggios", but technically speaking the beginning part actually isn't technically an arpeggio in the notes that where being used, even though it sounds that way. Thank you for your review any ways =3

Quite good!

What I would change in this piece is give some more bass in these overdriven guitar parts (like in the and) cause they sound quite flat and add some instrument playing chords in the backing track, as it seems quite empty only with bass and drums. 9/10. 5/5 , keep on rocking :)

masheenH3ad responds:

It think there is something needed to be done in the mix and the instrumentation as well. Thanks for your review! It's been really helpful.

Nice tune!

Althought I am not a fan of this kind of music (I'm more into metal, you know ;P) I liked the tune very much :D And it is recorded really good, you recorded and mastered that in some commercial studio, or do you got recording gear yourselves?

guitardude77 responds:

Thanks dude, yeah we recorded this one back at a studio in our hometown, he does them for pretty cheap too so we had good times =)

Personally I have some gear, but you can hear the "meh" quality I get out of it in my other songs that aren't TAWG songs. =P Thanks again!
