Great song, but in my opinion it could use some "analogue" instruments (and by that I mean real ones :P). But even in that form it's very nice

Yeah I suppose it could use real instruments. If only I could use them too. But a voice is also a real instrument in a way. Thanks.
Very nice song, though there are a few moments when violin sounds a little artificial. On the other hand, I really loved cymbal rolls and piano :)
Thanks for listening! : ) And I'll admit, the violins do sometimes sound artificial (oh the joy of having a song with purely soundfonts).
Great arrangement, and I like the theme too, but the sound is a little bit artificial, I think it could use some more work on mixing. Keep up the good work :)
Yeah, I really noticed some places where the sequencing could be improved when relistening to this. Ugh! Fast solo strings is so hard to pull off :/
Nice composition, but I think that it would do it better to re-record guitars with new set of strings, it could make it a lot brighter and in my opinion, it would sound much better in this song :) Or maybe try using some harmonic exciter vst, that might help too.
You are definitely right, these are really really old strings. This isn't the final track though, I will be adding/changing, and for the final recording i will get new strings for sure. Thanks for the review sir.
I like mellodies here, but arrangement and instrumentation made it sound a bit too techno-ish for my taste; also I think that you need to find some better vsts.
Thanks.
There are quite a cool ideas here, but the song as a whole seems rather disjointed - more like a collection of riffs than one song. Even though I guess that someone might find that piece usefoul in their animation to illustrate particular sequence; and I liked it enough :)
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome tune, I really like it, but you might have to remix it to participate in the contest. The rules of the contest include this point : "- Songs can be a maximum of 5 minutes. However, slightly longer songs may be taken into consideration and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. " ; so you better consult with contest mods if you don't want your entry discarded! (unless you already did that :P)
AHHH! I didn't read the rules.. I might have to get on that lol. Thanks for the heads up
Very good!
I really liked this piece. It rather reminds me of music by Jeremy Soule, the guy who was responsible for Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion music. You use similar instruments and similar cadences.
I've actually heard that before. Someone else who commented on the Hero of Time soundtrack said it sounded like the music from Oblivion. I played Morrowind ages ago, but never played Oblivion (to be honest, I'm not a big fan of Bethseda, personally).
I'll have to look up his music and note the similarities. I find that sort of stuff interesting.
Thanks for your review.
Great!
Veery good composition, really proffesionally sounding! I would change some things, though, not int the music, but rather in mixing. Guitar solo starting 1:30 is a little too quiet for me and it sounds a bit flat, but that can be because of MP3 compression, as well as because of VST. What I particularly like is killswitch-style guitar, and string ensamble, they make this tune EPIC. Keep up the good work!
The Mp3 does lower the sound quality (particularly the highs), but that's no excuse for a flat mix. Changes are in the works, thanks for the review!
